Tour program

Tbilisi –Elisabettal– Dashbash Canyon– Tbilisi

Meeting

Our tour will start at 10:00 am in Tbilisi. Our guide and driver will meet you at the appointed place and time.

Elisabettal

First of all, we will go with you to Elisabethtal – a settlement founded by German colonists in 1818. They brought their culture, language and traditions with them, took up agriculture here, developed industry, maintaining their identity for many generations. You will get acquainted with their history, customs and culinary characteristics, find out who the settlement was named after and who invited the Germans here.               We will also visit one of the local residents – a winemaker. In the cellars left over from the Germans, he makes unusual wines that cannot be found anywhere else. If you wish, you can taste them for a fee.

Dashbash canyon

In the second part of the program you will get acquainted with a unique canyon, known for its unusual geological formations. You will see stone pillars and pylons created by nature as a result of erosion and the action of wind and water on soft rocks. These formations create a unique landscape! The nature around is amazing: you will plunge into the world of mountain landscapes, green valleys, crystal clear rivers and vast expanses.

In 2016, the Dashbashi Gorge, or Tsalka, received the status of a natural monument of Georgia due to its unique ecosystem. Eight kilometers of steep slopes covered with dense vegetation and waterfalls will mesmerize you with its beauty.

We will tell you how the canyon was formed and what kind of fish is found in it. We will show you a private trout farm where you can go fishing if you want.
